how to configure two network interfaces one for real time and one for the backup on linux?

my company have centos 5 and for squid and mailserver purpose
i have to network one other ISP and one diffrent ISp
i want configuare my proxy server like this that when one network is down so second ISP service is start automaticlly but i dont know how to configuare on linux can some body help me

    Here is the RED HAT information on configuring NICS. You can use it for CENTOS as well. Much depends on if you need command line or GUI.
