What version of linux would be best for me?
Question by Serious Shuck: What version of linux would be best for me?
Im a newcomer. I just want to mess around with linux and learn it. I play alot of videogames, and I have a small home network. Im only confused by all the different versions of linux. I would want one that is alot like windows, thats what I use now. I already have Redhat linux. Should I stick with that? or get something better?

There isn’t anything better than RedHat. Please do not listen to the Ubuntu fanboys out there. It’s a sub-par flavor of linux. If you’re wanting to learn so you have experience for work then you probably wont want to use a distro based on debian. Stick with RedHat and learn the korn shell. Every data center I’ve worked in has always used ksh, from AIX to linux. For home use I have Fedora which is based on RedHat.
