Question by Sudhir: Does anyone know how airlines categorize tickets and when to get the best deals?
I know that all airline tickets are not the same, atleast the way they are priced. In addition, airlines have wierd ways of selling tickets. It would be great if we knew how and when do the airlines act with respect to tickets. This will be helpful to be a bargain price on travels.

Rule of thumb: The further in advance you commit, and the less people want to fly at the same time, the cheaper it gets. Also, flights for pleasure are cheaper than business flights, so staying over the weekend can result in dramatically decreased air fares, too.

Question by tennis/is/love.x3: I need a cheap plane ticket to Boston for two people.. What is the best website to check out?
I’m looking for two cheap tickets to Boston.
I’d like to go in early April of 2009 with my Dad for my birthday and him to visit his friend that lives up there.
We will both stay at his friends house, and I only need two seats on a plane.
What are some good trustworthy sites I could check out that will give me both quality yet affordable?
Please help!
Thanks.

I’d fly to Charlotte NC, which is about 90 miles away, and drive down. You can easily find fares from Seattle to Charlotte (CLT) for under $ 300.
