Can’t install the redhat linux 9?

Question by Lx-kun: Can’t install the redhat linux 9?
I want to install the redhat linux 9.but failed.I put the disk1 into cd-rom and boot from the cd-rom.Succeed to enter install menu,but when i continue to install,the misstake appeared.It said can’t find the drivers.Does it can’ find my hard disk? How to solve ?

I use Athlon64 3000+ nv550 STAT 160G

Your hardware is too new for RedHat 9. That’s an old one now. Try Fedora Core 5 or RedHat EL or one of the clones like CentOS if you want to stick to RedHat. There are many other distros you could choose from too.

eventhough yp-tools package is installed in my system redhat linux7.2 icannot find ‘ypwhich’ daemon or related file to set an NIS client.how tofind and start this daemon.

ok just switch to windows or mac.
