I got the free godaddy hosting for my domain i purchased with them. I made a mistake by choosing Windows as its operating system server, and now I want Linux.
Is there a way I can change it to Linux without getting a new host etc?Thanks!

not that i can think of, try e-mailing the godaddy and see what they say, or ask danika patrik (JKJK) but contact them in some way

That is not possible in Linux. You always have to have a password for root and any other accounts. Usually the password has to be atleast 6 charachters long.

i am planning to change my OS from windows 7 to MAC or Linux but i am quite afraid that if i do it, the drivers in my printer, camera, motherboard, bluetooth, joystick, ect. won’t work anymore.
i just wanna confirm, if my doubts are correct that the drivers that i have right now will no longer work if ever i install MAC or Linux.
i also wanna ask your advice with what versions of MAC/Linux should i use? and why?

That is correct. The Windows drivers won’t work (Except some Windows wireless drivers that work with ndiswrapper).

With Linux, your hardware will usually either work right out of the box or not at all.
There aren’t many 3rd-party drivers available for Linux, but there are a lot of drivers built right into the kernel. Try any of the popular Linux distros like Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva, etc.

Mac OS X doesn’t support as much hardware as Linux, but if you’re lucky you might have a Mac-friendly computer. Probably best to try the latest version, Snow Leopard.

You would need to have root access to the remote machine as well, or the current login and password of whichever user you are trying to change the password for on that remote machine.

Download the iso file burn it to a CD then put it in the drive and reboot. You can dual boot if you want. You can wipe Vista and just have the linux OS.

You change the PS1 variable in your Bash startup file. The link below provide help with this. My startup file is located under /home/user/.bashrc, yours could be something else like maybe .bash_profile

Start working as an assistant for a small firm or freelancer and be his/her shadow. You can learn a lot more and get access to a lot more, getting into a larger firm will take you 3 to 4 years even before they give you root access.

Not sure why you would want to learn windows if you want to be Linux Administrator, I hope I read the question right.
