Like using Ubuntu with wubi. Can other linux distros just be installed on C:\ drive too, like a normal program that could be later removed?

No only wubi is the exception .. or use a LIVECD

I want to install Linux on my computer, but I don’t want to use it the entire time. I still want to keep Windows 7 on here because I don’t have a CD to reinstall it.

Yes, it’s called dual booting and it is very easy. I have Vista Pro and Ubuntu (Linux) dual booting and it is amazing. Just google “Dual Boot+Linux” Hope this helps!
